Jonah/Nineveh Fast: We are thankful to God for bringing us to this 3
day fast that was installed by the church to remind us of the pending
doom if we continue to live in folly, away from the Love of God.
This fast is also a preparation that ushers in the Great Fast and sets
the theme of the Fast, which is the collective repentance of the city
(Church) in prayer & fasting to invoke God’s mercy and save us. This
fast is always the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday two weeks prior
to the first day of the Great Fast. Please see the Schedule page for the
Divine Liturgy times. Please note that the evening Liturgies will begin
directly with the Offertory.

The Great Fast: The Holy Days of the Great Fast (Lent) are
approaching and we wish to have everyone prepare so as to make it a
holy and blessed fast.
The 3 days of Jonah/Nineveh will be Mon-Wed Feb 14-16. These
three days are 2 weeks before the start of the Great Fast, which starts
Monday, Feb. 28.
Please prepare yourself and your household through:
- Repentance & Confession
- Special household Prayer
- Establishing/confirming each person’s start day & abstaining hour
- Selection of books to read
- Preparing for Project S.O.F.T.
- Groceries
